Mahdieh Golrou, a student activist who was forbidden from pursuing her studies, was responsible for the Islamic Association of the Faculty of Economics, University Tabatabai and vice-president of the association Islamic Alameh Tabatabai University in 2006. After criticizing the government of Ahmadinejad and tried to save the Islamic association of students, she was banned from further study and deported two months before his final exam.

Arrest

Mahdieh Golrou was arrested along with her husband, Vahid Lalipour, at 07:00 am Dec. 3, 2009 after their home was invaded by numerous agents of the security forces. On December 29, 2010, during a visit to a cabin, Mahdieh Golrou informed his family of his terrible state of health following bowel disease. She was eventually transferred to the general section reserved for dangerous criminals and murderers after nearly three months of isolation. During her incarceration, she developed a bowel disease because of the health status and lack of drinking water. Despite his terrible physical condition, 9 March 2010, the prison authorities have refused visits from his family for the third consecutive time then again March 17, 2010 for the fourth time. After several months of waiting, she finally met her family March 29, 2010.

Charges and verdict

Mahdieh Golrou The file was reviewed by the 26th of the Revolutionary Court presided by Judge Pir Abassi. She was accused of "propaganda against the regime" of "gathering and collusion against the regime" and "cooperation with the Mojahedin Khalgh (MKO). The first hearing was held April 5, 2010. Monitoring

Mahdieh Golrou suffered numerous illnesses during his incarceration. On May 2, 2010, despite his condition is, he was denied medical care. On June 9, 2010 she was transferred to the infirmary because of a serious intestinal illness. The prison authorities again refused him access to a doctor.

They do not have access to the prison library or over the telephone. The prisoners were allowed visits with their families in booths.

On many occasions Mahdieh Golrou was deprived of his rights to receive visits from his family, began a hunger strike December 21, 2010. Although she did broken a few days later, on December 28, she was accused of "adversely influence public opinion" by the 4th Chamber of the court to Evin. She then resumed his hunger strike and was again deprived of family visits.

After two weeks, she finally met his family January 5, 2011. A week later, January 11, 2011, she was again deprived of this right.
