City joins forces with The Hive

A positive step towards opening our little hive (which is growing, growing!): Paris City Hall has committed to contribute to the initial investment for ecological renovation of space. Arnaud Mourot and Charlotte Hochman met today with Christian Sautter and his team, following sympathetic development of the project from its first steps in March 2007. They pledge today to help open a practical way, by participating in the renovation of space. A partnership you like them: in return, The Hive is committed to helping them achieve a number of objectives by joint actions.

As many of you know, The Hive s'appprête also to sign the lease, probably in the course of next week, the time is now reduced to exchanges between lawyers and notaries. Between validation of the security of Neuf Cegetel and the establishment of the deed of purchase by owners, which will lift the condition precedent of the lease, everything should be completed as scheduled around mid-February. Then begin renovations to allow installation of the first entrepreneurs, scheduled around mid-April. The rest of the opening will run until September.

Many of you have seen Michele Caleffi, of Ecolutions to discuss your individual needs in terms of development, and simulations of space, site plans and forecasts are well underway. The next step, as most of you know, is the finalization of contracts between the Beehive and entrepreneurs wishing to enter the space, so to seal a mutual commitment, expected sometime in February.

A lease agreement was signed December 28, 2007, and will be followed by a meeting on January 9 between the co-founders and owners of premises Jemmapes dock. The lease should be signed between 15 and 31 January and a visit to the area with contractors will be held shortly after the signing of the lease.

The second step will be the signing of contracts between The Hive and entrepreneurs who want to integrate workspace, a variable duration based on the formulas and needs to formalize a mutual commitment. These commitments, together with a deposit, make sense given the waiting list for integrating Beehive has already been in place since early December.
