On Monday, February 14, 2011 (25 Bahman 1389), the repressive forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran are violently taken away the protesters who peacefully expressed their solidarity with the popular revolutions in Tunisia and Egypt. The murder of two young demonstrators, and Saneh Jaleh Mohammad Mokhtari, violence and mass arrests of hundreds of people in Tehran and other Iranian cities, the arrest of Mr Mousavi and Karoubi and threats of execution made against them by a number of members and further arrests reflect the rage and fear executive power in the face of massive popular presence.
To protest against the savage repression of Iranian citizens, the major wave of arrests and violence to against opponents to stifle any voice of protest, we urge all citizens committed to freedom, democratic institutions and organizations, activists for human rights to join us in the various rallies around the world, the February 17 to 20, outside the embassies of the Islamic republic or the central squares of their city of residence.
